The Association of Young Researchers Bor was founded in 1976, as a youth organization, to gradually grow into an organization that is geared towards all citizens and which mainly operates in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development at the local level and beyond. Today, the basic strategic direction of the organization is continuous activity aimed at raising awareness and knowledge of young people and all other citizens about the need and possibilities of environmental protection and sustainable use of all natural resources. The association independently and within wider networks of CSOs and partners contributes to the development of environmental awareness, participation in various activities and increasing the influence of young people and other citizens in the field of environmental protection and sustainable local and wider community development.
The project Together for Smokeless Bor is implemented in partnership by the Association of Young Researchers Bor, Dom omladine Bor and Alternativa Bor together with the city administration of Bor. The goal of the project is to further strengthen cooperation between civil society organizations, local self-government, scientific and professional organizations and entities for the participation of citizens in decision-making and implementation of local air quality protection policy. The total value of the grant is 1,557,000.00 RSD. The share of local self-government in the budget is 10%.
