Srem regional initiatives were established to achieve goals in the field of sustainable and balanced regional development, primarily in the field of infrastructure, environmental protection, rural development, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, as well as spatial planning. The association works on the development of the concept of sustainable development of the Srem region, harmonized with local, regional and national initiatives, as well as European regional development policies.
Srem Regional Initiative is implementing the project Sustainable Development for All – a platform for local dialogue in partnership with the City of Sremska Mitrovica. The project was supported under the Partnership Initiative grant scheme. The aim of the project is greater participation of civil society organizations and citizens in the decision-making process and local public policies in the field of environmental protection. The total value of the project is 1,600,000.00 RSD. The participation of the association in the total amount is 9%, while the local self-government contributed 19% of the total project budget.
